Imagine you’re stranded on a deserted island, waiting for a rescue team… and then someone radios in and says, ‘Hey buddy… just so you know… NO ONE is coming!
Now, would you: A) collapse into the sand and cry, or B) finally start building the damn raft?
Because in business and in life, too many people are still waiting for the rescue boat that isn’t coming!
Psychotherapist Nathaniel Branden had a favorite phrase: ‘No one is coming.’ And in one of his talks, a guy in the audience said, “But Nathaniel, YOU came!” To which Branden replied, “Yes, I came… to tell you that NO ONE is coming!”
Let’s sit with that for a moment. No one is coming. No one is coming to grow your business for you. No one is coming to magically deposit wealth into your account. No one is coming to fix your leadership challenges, clean up your inbox, or finally give you permission to take your dreams seriously.
But here’s where it gets fun: when you stop waiting for someone else to ‘fix’ things, you suddenly realize… you don’t need rescuing.
Because, think about it—who would you rather trust with your success? Some imaginary savior who never shows up… or YOU, the person who actually cares the most?
And let’s be real, we do this waiting game all the time. We say things like:“Once the economy gets better, I’ll take action.”“Once I feel more confident, I’ll put myself out there.”“Once I have the perfect plan, I’ll start.”
But life doesn’t wait for us to feel ready. And business? Business doesn’t reward waiting—it rewards action.
Look, I get it. It’s tempting to believe that success, clarity, or confidence will just arrive one day—like an Amazon Prime delivery. But last I checked; personal transformation doesn’t come with free two-day shipping!
So, what do we do? We stop waiting, and we start moving. We shift our perspective. We realize that we are the ones we've been waiting for.
If no one is coming to ‘save’ you, what would you do differently starting right now?
What if the very thing you think you’re missing… was actually already within you?
Because at the end of the day, the moment you stop waiting for a ‘rescuer’ is the moment you become unstoppable.
Now… who’s ready to build that damn raft?
